SearchSignalBot

SearchSignalBot is the user agent SearchSignal uses when a customer orders a full report that includes an on-site audit.

What it does

When someone orders a report for a website, SearchSignalBot reads up to 25 public pages on that site and its robots.txt, sitemap and llms.txt. It checks things like crawler rules, structured data, title and heading quality, and whether key facts are in the page text. It does not log in, submit forms, or load pages that robots.txt disallows for it.

It identifies itself as:

SearchSignalBot/1.0 (+https://searchsignal.pro/bot)

It sends at most one request per second and only to ports 80 and 443. The free check fetches your home page once, to read the page title and basic business details.

How to block it

Add this to your robots.txt:

User-agent: SearchSignalBot
Disallow: /
