Why it matters

Google shows AI Overviews on some searches, and ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Claude can search the web before they answer. When they do, they often name specific businesses and link to the pages they used. Google describes how its AI features choose sources in its Search Central documentation.

Is it really free?

Yes. The free check asks 5 questions on 5 engines and costs you nothing. You do not need an account. If you want the full answers and sources, you can enter an email.

Why might my result differ from what I see in ChatGPT?

We ask each engine through its developer API with web search turned on. The consumer apps add personalization, memory and their own settings, and AI answers change from one run to the next. Treat the result as a snapshot taken on the date shown.

Do you store my data?

We keep the business details you enter, the answers we collected, and a hashed form of your IP address for abuse limits. Free scans are deleted after 90 days unless linked to an account. Details are on the privacy page.

Can you guarantee I will show up?

No. Nobody can. We measure what the engines say today and tell you which inputs you can improve.
